The first solo exhibition in Samoa by Evotia Tamua titled Salelesi: A Village in Samoa was launched on Tuesday 15 November 2016. Held at the Centre for Samoan Studies Gallery, National University of Samoa. Showcasing 16 photographs in the main room and a slideshow of hundreds more photographs taken over a 20-year-period in her father's village of Salelesi.

Behind the scenes at the Miss Fa'afafine Pageant at the Kitano Tusitala Hotel (now called Tanoa Tusitala) in Samoa. A brief moment in the chaos where one fa'afafine is seen alone.
The Auckland central suburb of Arch Hill held an art auction at Hopetoun Alpha to fundraise against an international company's commercial development in their neighbourhood. As a member of the Grey Lynn Business Association, Evotia donated two framed works with 50% of sales going towards the cause.
